The Old Fashioned is a classic cocktail that has been around since the 19th century. It is a simple yet delicious drink that has stood the test of time and is still popular today.

The Old Fashioned is traditionally made with bourbon or rye whiskey, but other types of whiskey can be used as well. Traditionally, to make an Old Fashioned, you start by muddling a sugar cube with a few dashes of Angostura bitters and a splash of water in a rocks glass.

*We have found it convenient enough to replace the sugar cube with 1:1 simple syrup as it dissolves into the drink much faster and ensures the sugar is distributed evenly.*

      • 2 oz. Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
      • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
      • 2 dashes or Orange bitters
      • 1/4 oz. Simple syrup

        • Orange Peel
        • Maraschino Cherry

          1. Add ingredients to a rocks glass then add ice
          2. One large ice cube is preferred but nor necessary
          3. Stir for about 10 to 15 seconds
          4. Garnish with a brandied cherry and orange peel
