The Last Word is a classic cocktail that originated in the early 20th century. It is a gin-based cocktail that also contains Green Chartreuse, Maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice. The drink is typically served straight up in a chilled cocktail glass and garnished with a lime twist or brandied cherry.

The Last Word cocktail was created during the Prohibition era and was a popular drink among the cocktail enthusiasts of the time. However, it fell out of favor after the repeal of Prohibition, and it wasn’t until the early 2000s that the cocktail was rediscovered and popularized by bartenders in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Today, it is considered a classic cocktail and can be found on the menus of many cocktail bars around the world.
