The Zombie cocktail is a classic tiki drink that is infamous for its potency and flavor. It is said to have been created by Donn Beach, the founder of Don the Beachcomber restaurant and a prominent figure in the tiki cocktail scene of the 1930s.
One of the defining characteristics of the Zombie is its high alcohol content, which is sometimes attributed to the use of overproof rum. The cocktail has since become a popular drink at parties and tiki bars around the world, and its reputation as a potent and delicious libation continues to grow.
