Ingredients
2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
1 egg white
2–3 dashes Angostura bitters (optional garnish)
Method
Add whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker without ice.
Dry shake vigorously to emulsify the egg white.
Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass (with or without ice).
Garnish with a few drops of Angostura bitters.
