Whiskey Sour

A classic whiskey sour made with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white for a smooth, balanced cocktail with a silky foam.

Ingredients
  • 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey

  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 1 egg white

  • 2–3 dashes Angostura bitters (optional garnish)

Method
  1. Add whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker without ice.

  2. Dry shake vigorously to emulsify the egg white.

  3. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

  4. Strain into a rocks glass (with or without ice).

  5. Garnish with a few drops of Angostura bitters.
