Ingredients
2½ oz London dry gin
½ oz dry vermouth
Lemon peel, for garnish
Method
1. Chill the glass
Place a martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the drink.
2. Stir
Add gin and dry vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir steadily for about 20–30 seconds until fully chilled and properly diluted.
3. Strain
Discard ice from the glass if using. Strain into the chilled martini glass.
4. Garnish
Express a lemon peel over the surface to release the oils, then discard or place in the glass.
